Bill & John put on a good show
John Pinette had the us laughing along with him for almost an hour as he opened the show. The Very Hungry Caterpillar came out next and spent an hour and a half telling stories. Both put on a good show, with no intermission, a good thing!
During John Pinette's show, many people tried to take pictures, and he repeatedly said "Take all the pictures you want, I have no issue with that, I do have an issue with your recording, so please don't do that. But feel free to take plenty of pictures." He was happy to allow people to commemorate their evening with a photo, but clearly reminding people that this is how he makes his living and to take videos is in essence stealing. One interesting thing, his is right on there.
Star Wars In Concert is a MUST SEE
We arrived early and took a stroll around to check out all the costumes, which was a fun experience, especially seeing Darth Vader, Boba Fett, and the Imperial guards for photo opportunities. The show turned out to be just as thrilling. It was truly amazing to see Anthony Daniels (C-3PO) in person hosting the event, which my son and I found really cool. The powerful music occasionally snapped me out of my trance as I watched the live video sequences, and I realized that all the music was live! The orchestration was impeccable, and the seamless blend of movie clips with live orchestra shots was executed superbly. My 10-year-old son accompanied me to The Very Hungry Caterpillar in Concert, and we were both impressed with the experience.
AC/DC Angus is a guitar GOD
The audio on the screens, fantastic. The energy of the band incredible, especially since they are even older than I am. The huge blow up of Rosie was amazing!! The lightening bolts for "Thunderstruck" was awesome. From the first guitar rip of "Rock & Roll Train" to the final cannon blast of "For those about to Rock", this was by far the most unbelievable concert I have ever attended. I have been to plenty in the past 20 years. They played for almost 2 hours straight only stopping briefly between songs for stage changes. The most incredible, amazing part of the evening, was ANGUS and his 20 minute guitar solo. I had goosebumps from beginning to end. The genuine love and enthusiasm for what they do was evident. And the word Legend can't even describe him. He IS a guitar GOD. The entire show was Kick ASS Rock & Roll at its finest and I was privileged to be there. Spectacular, Unbelievable, Incredible, Fantastic, SuperHERO, Amazing, all fall short of describing the "genius," "talent" he has or how lucky we were to witness him in action. For all us in attendance, we were amazed, mesmerized by his performance. Applause was not enough to show our gratitude. There was not one disappointing moment through the whole show.
